Amarone della Valpolicella Classico Doc

Area of production: Valpolicella classica area "Podere le Pontare", exposed to the sun from the early hours of the morning

Soil: tuffaceous, clayey and calcareous

Growing method: Veronese-style bower with an average age of over 30 years

Grape variety: Corvina veronese 65%, Rondinella 20%, Molinara 5%, other 10%

Harvest: from the end of September to the middle of October; the grapes are then placed in “fruttai” to wither until the end of January.

Vinification: Vinification process carried out at the end of January. Fermentation is carried out in steel tanks and is followed by refinement in durmast wood barrels.

Color: intense ruby red

Bouquet: characteristic of sour black cherries and plums

Taste: full, velvety, warm

Alcoholic content: 15,5% Vol.

Serving suggestions: ideal with red meats, pork roast, wild fowl and game in general, braised beef, demanding and tasty dishes, strong and matured cheese varieties. A wine to be enjoyed at the end of a meal and meant to be aged.

Service: it should be served at a temperature of 18°-20° C and uncorked a couple of hours in advance.
